What is happening in our local Real Estate Market?

Our market has improved steadily during the past two years and although price increases appear to be slowing some, we still see appreciation consistent with a healthy market. 6% Improvement in total number of Residential homes sold in Kootenai County 2014 vs. 2013! 8$ increase in average sales prices! Of course, as you are all aware, there is still plenty of inventory to choose from, lower in winter months, increase in the Spring and Summer seasons. Whether you are in the market for a home, office, land or a home with land, you will still find plenty of bargains when compared to recent years. Our data indicates though, that our local market demand is up slightly from last year as interest rates continue to remain low.

Current rates showed a 30-year conventional loan with interest at 3.50 percent, 15-year fixed at 2.75%. FHA, 30-year fixed rates at 3.25%. This, no doubt, is a contributing factor in the movement of real estate.
