• Nov 6 (Thurs), 10 am-3 pm, “Veterans Stand Down Day” at VFW Post #1675, 318 E. Mullan Ave., Osburn. Clothing, blankets, hygiene items, fuel & grocery cards will be available for veterans. Also state & county VSO will be present. Donations are welcome prior to event w/drop-off at VFW.

• Nov 8 (Sat), 11 am, “Veterans Recognition Ceremony” at Lakeland HS, 7006 W. Hwy 53, Rathdrum. Doors open at 10 am, w/ceremony at 11. Community members are invited to attend the celebration to meet, honor & thank veterans. The annual event is presented by Rathdrum Parks & Rec, American Legion Post #154, & Northwest Guardian Riders. Veterans & their families are invited to enjoy a complimentary lunch at noon; door prizes too! More info – 208-687-2399.

• Nov 8 (Sat), 1:30-3:30 pm, “Veterans Celebration Movie Matinee” at Kroc Center (Community Room), 1765 W. Golf Course Rd., CdA. Showing “White Christmas”, a classic Christmas film, featuring one of our area’s favorite actors, Bing Crosby. Movie & snacks/drinks are complimentary. 

• Nov 11 (Tues), 11 am, “Veterans Day & Distinguished Veteran Ceremony” at McIntire Family Park, 8930 N. Gov’t Way, Hayden. Sponsored by City of Hayden, all are invited to attend. The “Distinguished Veteran of the Year” will be honored as well as all veterans.

** Nov 23 (Sun), 2 pm, “Winter Blessing” at Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel, 37914 S. Nukwalqw Rd., Worley. A celebration of Native American traditions w/live dance competitions, storytelling, complimentary fry bread & huckleberry jam. All are welcome to this FREE event!

** November 28th 5:00 – 33rd Annual Lighting Ceremony Parade,  Watch as the parade entries light up Sherman Avenue as they bring the Holiday Spirit to Downtown CDA with marching bands, dancing, music, and festive floats!

** November 28th  6:00 – gather on The Coeur d’Alene Resort Lawn for carols and a countdown to a spectacular firework display complements of the Hagadone Corporation. At the end of the show, the switch is flipped and over 1.5 million lights brighten the downtown area!

** November 29th – December 21st – Santa is sending a team of “Scout Elves” to Downtown Coeur d’Alene! Presented by STCU, the Coeur d’Alene Scout Elves will land in town to start a fun holiday scavenger hunt on Saturday, November 29, and Santa has asked them to scout every day through December 21. Just like all elves, these ones are sneaky and hide out in cups of hot cocoa, cozy boutique sweaters, and other silly places!  Keep your eyes peeled for one of the dozens of Coeur d’Alene Scout Elves hiding throughout the Downtown Corridor, and you could win prizes from Santa himself!

**  January 17th – Mac and Cheese Festival –  The Mac & Cheese Festival celebrates your favorite childhood dish by featuring variations carefully prepared by local chefs who will be competing for the Golden Noodle Award! Attendees will enjoy a comfort-food-filled day tasting different cheesy dishes with perfect craft beer pairings and get to vote for their favorite dish to help award the People’s Choice Trophy!
